Meet the Real Bosses of Merriam Feed
They don’t clock in, but they’re always on the job—napping, judging, supervising.
Let’s not pretend—our store cats run the show. They greet customers, patrol the aisles, and test the softness of every feed sack. Occasionally, they’ll allow you to pet them. Usually, they’re busy being legends.

Raven
The number one question we hear around here? “Where’s Raven?” She’s the most sought-after presence in the store—and she knows it. Slinky, stealthy, and entirely unbothered, Raven glides through the aisles like she’s on a catwalk (because she is).
Her favorite hideouts include the top of the Pepsi machine, tucked between egg cartons, curled in a bucket near the chicken feed, or nestled behind the seed tubs like some kind of glamorous ninja. You might spot a flick of her tail or catch her mid-blink before she slips out of sight again.
Loved by all. Seen by few. Raven isn’t just a store cat—she’s a lifestyle.

Whitey
Whitey’s got places to be—usually everywhere. She’s the queen of the store, the barn, and whatever territory she decides is hers that day. Try getting her to come inside at closing time. Go ahead, we’ll wait. She might love us, but she loves her independence more.

Nanners
Nanners wasn’t hired—he just showed up. One day, he appeared like a furry little mystery and decided this was home. You probably won’t see him (he’s basically a ghost in cat form), but show up with breakfast and he’s magically there. We don’t ask questions. We just serve him.
